Arethusa Farms, Bantam CT

We took the ice-cream plunge, and decided to go and try Arethusa Farms one afternoon. We were so glad that we did! It was a beautiful drive through Morris and into Bantam. I had heard so many great things about Arethusa, but one of the best recommendations that I received was to go and try the ice cream.

Julia and I took a trip one afternoon to be taste testers before we brought my husband along, and it was such a treat. Julia loved the Vanilla flavor. Their ice-cream is rich and velvety smooth. They have a great offering of flavors, and some of them are seasonal. Arethusa also offers tours of their barn on the weekends to see their dairy cows. If you are in Connecticut, I would definitely recommend this stop for you. They also have a restaurant, bakery, and greenhouse at their Bantam location- a must see!
