Annual Memorial Blood Drive
Every year in August, I organize a memorial blood drive. It’s in memory of my father-in-law who passed away several years ago. He was an integral member in our family, and relied heavily on the generosity of strangers through blood donation. I started this annual event as a way to be able to preserve his memory in our community. Blood donation kept him going through his sickness and gave the family an additional 18 years to be able to love him. This is our small way of paying it forward and hopefully giving other families more time with their loved ones.
